Mergers and Acquisitions are a major activity for some of our clients. Virtual Trader has a new source that helps you to translate and integrate data from these systems into Oracle Applications. This removes the need to write heavy customizations that are thrown away after full intergration is complete.

We have now released the Dynamic Explosion technology into VT272 for two sources. This gives the ability for Virtual Trader to take a summarized record and to work on it at a detailed level. The detailed level can be configured depending on attributes from the summary record. This is very useful for Mass Allocation journals where the summary record holds an amount which should create different accounting depending on data elements associated with the transaction (e.g. Head Count or Departments). It also permits less records to be collected in the interface, keeping the logic in the hands of the business.

The Account Code Cross validation functionallity has been expanded to allow selective checking depending on the Transaction Rule. This increases performance over the older technique as it means that checks don't neeed to be performed on low risk account codes

The new Business Acceptance Rules source is in beta test.
